Ile Bizard is an island located at the western tip of Laval and to the northwest of Montreal, above the West Island. It is also home to the oldest membership golf course in America, The Royal Montreal Golf Club, founded in 1873. The Blue Course continues to be ranked as one of the "100 Greatest Courses in the World".
A very large park is situated in the eastern
half of the Ile Bizard, between Montee de l'Eglise and the Chemin du Bord-du-Lac. There are over 27km of cross country ski trails, 9.6km of which are accessible for hiking and biking in the summer. The trails travel through nicely forested areas, along the rivers edge and around and over the parks and wetlands.
As permanent residents of Ile Bizard, we could not recommend it more as a wonderful place to live, work and play. Nature, clean air, parks, friendly neighbours, safety, and close to everything, these are the ingredients of the incredible lifestyle and amenities that we enjoy, living on Ile Bizard. If this is a lifestyle that you are seeking, please Allow us to show you around!
